Meet Creative Director and Curator, Crystal Aisha Kerr

Crystal Aisha is a Creative Director and Curator. Having immersed her career in community building, public education, event planning and social justice work including educating and consulting on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Anti-oppression, Accessibility and Belonging at some of Canada’s best Universities, Crystal is now the lead for programming at The Carriage Loft and has a vision to make it one of the city’s hidden heritage gems that will open itself to Hamilton’s diverse and connected community.

Crystal is a Poet, Public Speaker, social-political theorist and loves a great get-together, party or fete! Owner of a number of gathering spaces over the years like The Family Play Cafe and PhemLounge as well as being the Executive Director and Co-Founder of community movements like Malton Moms, now celebrating its 20th year, Crystal brings this wealth of experience, her passion for people and her commitment to social accessibility to The Carriage Loft. Crystal will curate experiences at The Carriage Loft and can help you co-create your vision for your event or gathering from inception to implementation. The Carriage Loft is a unique heritage space awaiting your vision to co-create beautifully curated events and experiences celebrating community, creativity, connection, love and partnership, healthy bodies and minds, as well as a commitment to the arts.

    Moy aids in strategy and development. Collaborating with Crystal, the two merge their business consulting skillsets to further The Carriage Lofts’s mission and vision.

    And we have The Carriage Loft Ambassadors Collective who promotes the mission of the loft in Hamilton and abroad and meets quarterly to steer the vision of this unique space in the heart of Hamilton
